URI held an early 3-2 lead after a Kuran Iverson three-pointer, however, Maryland took over the game from there.

Kuran Iverson led URI with a season high 19 points in the game while Earl Watson contributed 17 points in 17 minutes off of the bench.

Hassan Martin

Jared Terrell
One game after posting his first career double-double, Jared Terrell did not have a point against Maryland, going 0 for 6 from the field.
He did contribute in other ways, pulling down four rebounds and dishing out four assists.
Earl Watson
Once again, Earl Watson provided the only scoring off of the bench for URI, netting 17 points on 6 of 8 shooting from the field.
Watson also grabbed five rebounds and dished out an assist in 17 minutes of action.
Kuran Iverson
Kuran Iverson had a season high 19 points on 7 of 18 shooting from the field, including 2 of 3 from three-point land.
Iverson also grabbed one rebound in the game but committed four turnovers.
URI needs scoring and if Iverson can put up similar numbers in future games, URI will be in good shape.
Iverson has reached double-figures in two of the last three games.
Couldn't Lock down
URI just could not get into thier lockdown defense in this game, but it had more to do with the weapons that Maryland has.
Maryland had five players reach double figures in scoring and they shot 60% from the field, including 58% from three-point land in the game.
The Rams did force them ino 18 turnovers, seven of which came on steals but the Maryland offense was just too much.
They are the #2 team in the country.
