The URI Rams (3-2) fell 86-63 to #2 (5-0) Maryland on Wednesday in the championship game of the Cancun Challenge.

URI held an early 3-2 lead after a Kuran Iverson three-pointer, however, Maryland took over the game from there.

The Terrapins went on a 13-2 run to take a 15-5 lead. The Rams would not get closer than ten points the rest of the way as Maryland was in complete control. 

Leading the Way

Kuran Iverson led URI with a season high 19 points in the game while Earl Watson contributed 17 points in 17 minutes off of the bench.

The Rams return to action on Sunday, November 29 when they host Rider at 2 p.m. at the Ryan Center.
