Pulling it Together
The minutes after Matthews left the game, URI struggled a bit to get things going.
American cut URI's lead to two, 22-20, after the Rams had been up 21-14, but URI recovered.
Over the next seven minutes, the Rams only allowed American three points and took a 36-23 lead into the locker room.
In the second half, American would get as close as six points, 44-38, with 12 minutes to play but URI would go on a 10-0 run to go up 54-38 and begin to put the game out of reach.
American did not get closer than 15 the rest of the way.

The Rams host Valparaiso on Tuesday morning at the Ryan Center as part of the ESPN Tip-Off Marathon.
