Super Bowl XLIX

In the Super Bowl, Brady set five Super Bowl records and tied two more.

He extended his own Super Bowl records for most career passes (247), most career completions (164) and most career passing yards (1,605).

He set new records for most completions in a game (37) and most career touchdown passes (13). He tied Super Bowl records for most games played (6), most Super Bowl wins by a quarterback (4) and most Super Bowl MVP awards (3).

Brady would later go on to break all of these records in Super Bowl LI.

In the game, the Patriots trailed 24-14 in the fourth quarter, before Brady completed 13 of 15 passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Patriots to a 28-24 comeback victory.

He finished the game 37-of-50 for 328 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions.

The game-winning drive was Brady’s ninth in the postseason, an NFL record, including his fourth in the Super Bowl. The comeback was Brady’s sixth in the postseason, breaking Joe Montana’s record.
