Brown’s Nightmare Sports Weekend

On the field, Brown’s football team was pounded by Yale 56-34 on Saturday. The loss dropped Brown's football team to 2-3 in the Ivy League and 3-5 overall. Brown football had started 2-0.
Football has not had a winning record in the conference since 2012, when the team was 4-3.

Brown field hockey lost in the semi-final game of the conference tournament, 1-0 to Harvard in overtime.
The winter sports teams did not perform much better.
Men’s hockey dropped two — losing to Colgate and Cornell. And, women’s hockey mirrored their male counterparts losing to Colgate and Cornel over the weekend too.
Then, Brown men’s basketball lost 69-67 to the University of Maine. The team is now 0-2. It had lost its opener 72-71 to Siena on Monday. It has lost two games by three points.
Few Bright Spots
The bright spots were few. One was men’s soccer's win over Yale, which allowed Brown to grab the last spot in the Ivy League tournament.
The Bears finished the Ivy League play with a 2-4 record — the team is 7-7-1 overall.
And, women’s basketball beat Monmouth 81-61 this weekend. They are now 1-1 on the season after an opening loss to Indiana 82-60.
