Bryant Baseball Gets 2-Seed in NCAA Tournament, Face East Carolina on Friday

The #14 Bryant University baseball team (47-10) was given a 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament and will travel to Charlottesville Regional where they will face third seeded East Carolina on Friday at 6 p.m. The game will be on ESPN3. 

The Bulldogs get the two seed after getting the NEC's automatic bid by sweeping the conference tournament last weekend. The Bulldogs beat Central Connecticut 8-1, Sacred Heart 5-1, and Fairleigh Dickinson 8-3 to win their third NEC Title in four years. 

Bryant gets a 2 seed for the first time in program history and they are the first team in Northeast Conference history to earn a 2 seed. The Bulldogs are making their third NCAA Tournament appearance in the last four years and are a combined 1-4 all-time.

The Charlottesville Regional 

The Charlottesville Regional is one of 16 regionals around the country and will work in double elimination format. Each regional winner will advance to the NCAA Super Regionals, with the Charlottesville champion facing the Lubbock, Texas champion in a best of three series. 

The eight super regional winners will advance to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. 

The number one seed in Charlottesville is Virginia.
