Bryant Beats Wagner 81-73, Improve to 4-1 in NEC

The Bryant University men's basketball team (7-7, 4-1 NEC) defeated (4-12, 2-3 NEC) Wagner 81-73 on Thursday night at the Chace Athletic Center. The Bulldogs have now won three straight games, their longest winning streak of the game.

The Bulldogs led 36-30 at the half but in the second Wagner's Marcus Burton drilled back-to-back three pointers to tie the game up. From that point on, the Bulldogs used a 10-4 run to go up 46-40 in the game. With 12 minutes to play in the game, Bryant's Hunter Ware completed a four point play and sparked the Bulldogs to a 14-4 run to go up 60-44.

Wagner would get as close as eight but only at the very end of the game as the Bulldogs come away with the win. 

Dyami Starks led the Bulldogs with a season high 26 points while teammate Joe O'Shea followed up with 19 points of his own. 

Marcus Burton led Wagner with a game high 31 points in the loss. 

Bryant returns to action on Saturday, January 17 when they visit Central Connecticut. Tip-off is set for 3:30 p.m.
