Bryant Beats Wagner 81-73, Improve to 4-1 in NEC

The Bulldogs led 36-30 at the half but in the second Wagner's Marcus Burton drilled back-to-back three pointers to tie the game up. From that point on, the Bulldogs used a 10-4 run to go up 46-40 in the game. With 12 minutes to play in the game, Bryant's Hunter Ware completed a four point play and sparked the Bulldogs to a 14-4 run to go up 60-44.

Dyami Starks led the Bulldogs with a season high 26 points while teammate Joe O'Shea followed up with 19 points of his own.
Marcus Burton led Wagner with a game high 31 points in the loss.
Bryant returns to action on Saturday, January 17 when they visit Central Connecticut. Tip-off is set for 3:30 p.m.

Five Takeaways from Bryant's 81-73 Win Over Wagner
Hunter Ware
Freshman Hunter Ware had a good game for Bryant off the bench. Ware netted ten points on two of five shooting from the field and five of seven from the free throw line.
Ware also had one of the biggest shots of the second half and of the game when he completed a four point play. That play sparked Bryant to a 14-4 run to seal the win.
Joe O'Shea
Joe O'Shea had a big game for the Bulldogs, netting 19 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field. O'Shea has reached double-figures now in three straight, and five of the last six games, for Bryant after not reaching double-figures in any of the first six games.
O'Shea also had five rebounds and three assists in the Bryant win.
Dyami Starks
Dyami Starks led Bryant with 26 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field and seven of eight from the free throw line. This is the sixth game this season in which Starks has netted at least 20 points.
Starks has also been in double-figures in every game except two this season.
Starks also grabbed three rebounds, dished out two assists and had six steals. Bryant as a team had nine steals in the game.
Points in the Paint
The Bulldogs dominated the points in the paint, beating Wagner 38-26 in that category.
The result of Bryant being so productive in the paint is them shooting 51% from the field and also getting to the free throw line 36 times in the game.
You don't get fouled shooting jump shots usually so getting to the paint is a good sign.

After struggling and looking inconsistent at times through the non-conference schedule, the Bryant Bulldogs are now right back on track and have looked great in conference play with their 4-1 record.
Dyami Starks continues to light it up but the difference is that he is now getting help from others. Joe O'Shea has posted 19, 19 and 21 points in the last three games and freshman Hunter Ware has become more of a factor, netting ten points against Wagner.
Bryant now goes on the road to face Central Connecticut on Saturday, January 17 at 3:30 p.m.
