December 11 vs Golden State

The defending NBA Champion Golden State Warriors come into town led by Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

This will also mark the first time that new Celtic David Lee will face his old team. The Celtics acquired Lee in a trade with Golden state for Gerald Wallace and Chris Babb.

December 15 vs Cleveland

The Cleveland Cavalliers come into Boston for the first time since sweeping the Celtics in the playoffs last season.

This game will also reignite the feud between LeBron James and Jae Crowder as well as Kevin Love and Kelly Olynik.

December 21 vs Minnesota

This game could mark the final game for Kevin Garnett at the TD Garden as he comes in with a young and improved Minnesota Timberwolves team.

Garnett won an NBA Title with the Celtics in 2008 as part of a big three that included Ray Allen and Paul Pierce.

December 30 - vs LA Lakers

While this game certainly does not mean as much as it used to as the Celtics and Lakers are both in a rebuilding phase, anyone that is an NBA fan and a fan of the history of the game has Celtics/Lakers circled on calendar.

February 7 vs Sacramento Kings - Rondo Returns

Rajon Rondo was traded to Dallas by the Celtics last season and after things did not work out there, Rondo signed with the Sacramento Kings in the off season. Nonetheless, Rondo will return to Boston for the first time on February 7.

Rondo helped the Celtics win the title in 2008 and ranks among the franchise's all-time leaders in assists.

February 10 vs LA Clippers - Pierce, Rivers Return

The Celtics will battle the LA Clippers at the TD Garden on February 10 and in the process will welcome back both Paul Pierce and Doc Rivers.

It's always emotional when just one of them comes back, but now, they are both coming back at the same time. It should be quite a scene at the TD Garden that night.

Last Season

The Boston Celtics went 40-42 last season under second year coach Brad Stevens and made the playoffs before getting swept by Cleveland in the first round.

The Celtics will look to build on the successes of last season.
