Q & A with Kerri Nadeau, Burrillville / Ponaganset co-op Girls Hockey


What has been the biggest challenge being a high school athlete?

My biggest challenge had been getting the opportunity to finally play girls high school hockey by co-oping with Burrillville High School. It was a two-year process that has given me the best two years of high school hockey.

Who is your biggest motivator?

I would say that I am my biggest motivator. I have pushed myself to excel in high school hockey because I have always dreamed of playing college hockey.

Who is your biggest rival?

My team’s biggest rival would have to be North Smithfield, Mount, LaSalle and Bay View. These teams are the biggest competitors in the league.

What are you working to improve your game?

I am working to improve my game by becoming a faster stronger skater so that I can compete at the next level of hockey.

What is your greatest memory on the ice?

My greatest memory would have to be earlier this season when we shut out LaSalle to take over 2nd place in the league.

How are you able to balance your schoolwork with practices, games, and training?

I seem to balance my schoolwork along with hockey by using as much free time as I can get during the day to complete any schoolwork.

Where do you see yourself going from here, do you plan to pursue this sport in college?

I will most likely be attending Nichols College in the fall where I will be continuing my hockey career.
