Henton Goes For 38, Friars Edge Irish 75-74
Henton knocked down two free throws to give PC a 75-74 lead with 14 seconds left in the game. Notre Dame got the last possession and had a couple of chances to win the game, but none of the shots were clean looks as the Friars defense buckled down and got the stop.
Tyler Harris added seventeen points for the Friars in the win, and Kris Dunn had six points and five assists. He had to deal with foul trouble for most of the night.

Providence will now have the week off before hosting Yale on Friday, November 28 at 4 p.m.

Jalen Lindsey
Freshman Jalen Lindsey only played one minute in the game before rolling his ankle and leaving the game. He did not return.
The Friars next game is not till Friday so he will have plenty of time to recover.
Lindsey has been playing much better for the Friars since having the tape removed from his fingers. In the last game against Florida State, Lindsey went 5 for 6 from beyond the three-point arc for 15 points.
Kris Dunn
Kris Dunn had six points and five assists in this game, numbers just a bit lower then what we have seen in the last two games.
Give Notre Dame credit for part of that and the other part is that he was in foul trouble for most of the game and didn't do a great job of managing it when he was on the floor.
Then he gave everyone a scare late in the game when landed awkwardly on his leg and tumbled into the cheerleaders. Dunn was a bit slow to get up and did leave the game but came back just a few minutes later to the collective sighs of relief from Friars fans everywhere.
Hot shooting continues
For the second straight game, Providence shot over 50 percent from the field. In this game, PC shot 56 percent from the floor after shooting 53 percent from the floor against Florida State.
LaDontae Henton has certainly been a major reason why they have been so hot from the field but Jalen Lindsey and Tyler Harris have contributed as well. Harris had 17 points against Notre Dame.

LaDontae Henton continues to lead the Friars. In this game, he had a career high 38 points (previous was 37 vs. Brown two years ago), capped off by two clutch free throws that gave PC the lead for good at 75-74.
He played the most of anyone on the team in this game playing all 40 minutes. He was the go to guy in the second half like he was in the Florida State Game. Henton hit 14 of his 19 shots from the floor.
Henton has a chance to be something really special this year if he continues his great play.

Coming into this weekend, the Friars had back to back games against two NCAA tournament caliber teams, getting a split would have been great.
However, as the weekend concludes, the Friars come out with a sweep and an unblemished record at 5-0. Two impressive wins for different reasons.
Florida State was impressive because they just dominated the game from the beginning to the end.
Notre Dame was almost more impressive because the game was a grind. PC was down eight points with just over five minutes to play and Kris Dunn was in foul trouble, but they fought their way back and won it on the defensive end.
