Manning Says He Will Miss Pats Fans & Handshakes With Tom Brady

Denver Broncos quarterback and New England rival Peyton Manning officially announced his retirement on Monday in a press conference in Denver. During the press conference Manning expressed that he will miss Patriots fans.

"I'll even miss the Patriots fans in Foxboro. And they should miss me, because they sure did get a lot of wins off of me," Manning said.

The Patriots were 11-6 all-time against Peyton Manning, however, Manning was 3-2 against the Patriots in the playoffs.

"I'll miss those handshakes with Tom Brady," Manning added.

About Peyton Manning's retirement, Brady said in a Facebook post, "Congratulations Peyton, on an incredible career. You changed the game forever and made everyone around you better. It's been an honor."

According to one report, Tom Brady was one of the first people that Manning called about his retirement.

Manning retires following a Super Bowl victory over the Carolina Panthers, which gave him his second Super Bowl Championship. Manning beat the Patriots in the AFC Championship game to get there.

Manning holds all-time NFL records for passing yards, passing touchdowns, single-season passing yards and MVP awards.
