Mass State Police Investigating Patriots’ Brandon Spikes for Hit and Run

Early Sunday morning, Massachusetts State Police troopers responded to a report of car on a median strip on Route 495 in Foxboro. According to the State Police, troopers were notified by the OnStar navigation system that the operator of the vehicle, New England Patriots' Brandon Spikes, had hit a deer.

The troopers found Spikes' vehicle, a 2011 Mercedes Maybach, abandoned in the median with front end damage. The driver had fled the scene and no deer was located.

Shortly after, troopers responded to a report of a 2009 Nissan Murano with three occupants -a 51-year-old man, a 32-year-old woman, and a 12-year-old boy, all of Billerica- in the same area as the abandoned Maybach. The occupants reported that they were rear-ended by another vehicle. All three occupants were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

State Police are still investigating both incidents and are hoping to identify who was driving the Mercedes and what car rear-ended the Murano. At this time, no connection has been established.
