Spots on the Olympic Team are filled based on results from two major international events for each class.

Gulari and Chafee finished 12th at the first event, the Sailing World Cup Miami in January, which gave them an 8 point lead over the field.

Gulari and Chafee finished 31st at the World Championships and were able to earn a berth to the Olympics.

Gulari and Chafee will join two other U.S. sailing teams on the Olympic roster with the next group of sailors set to qualify at the Laser Radial Europeans in March.
