The New England Patriots have signed kicker Nick Folk, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

The move comes a little over an hour after New England released kicker Mike Nugent.

About Folk

Folk, 35, has not played in an NFL game since 2017 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

His most recent full season in the league came in 2016 with the New York Jets.

During that season, he converted 27 of 32 field-goal attempts and 24 of 26 extra points.

In 154 career games, he has converted 245 of 305 field goals and 342 of 346 extra points.

Nugent Released

Nugent signed with the Patriots just days after kicker Stephen Gostkowski was placed on injured reserve.

In four games with the Patriots, Nugent converted five of eight field goals and 15 of 16 extra points.

In Sunday’s win over the Browns, Nugent missed a 34-yard field goal, and then had a 29-yard field goal blocked.
