PC Falls to Butler, Oduro and Wife Welcome Their First Child

Grad student Josh Oduro did not make the trip to Indiana as he and his wife welcomed their first child this week.
On Wednesday, Oduro had led the Friars with 32 overall and 12 rebounds in the upset of #19 Creighton University 91-87 in overtime in Providence.

Against Butler, the Friars were forced to play small and had a depleted rotation.
At half-time, the Friars trailed 34-27Corey Floyd, Jr’s 3-pointer tied the game in the second half with 10 minutes left.
After a Butler 2, Floyd tied the game again with two free throws - again tying the game at 55.
Ticket Gaines hit a three-pointer, giving the Friars a 58-55 lead in under 9 minutes — PC’s first lead since 5-4.
The Friars extended their lead to 7 at the four-minute mark of the second half — PC went up 71-64.
Butler battled back and took the lead 73-72, setting the stage for PC with 19 seconds left.
Floyd, who led the Friars with 20 points, took the ball to the basket strong and appeared to be fouled by two Butler players, but there was no call.
PC fouled, and Butler hit two free throws to seal the win.
PC fell to 15-9 and 6-7 in the Big East. Butler improves to 16-8 and 7-6 in the conference.
