Wins Over Marquette and Butler Score PC a Top 25 Ranking

The Providence College men's basketball team is ranked No. 25 in the most recent Associated Press Poll, released Monday.

 

This past week, the Friars earned wins over then No. 6/6 Marquette (72-57) on December 19 and Butler (85-75) in overtime on December 23. Both Friars wins were at home.

PC’s first-year coach, Kim English, has the Friars streaking behind the superior play of guard Devin Carter.

 

The Friars (11-2, 2-0) have won four straight games and are in first place in the BIG EAST.  Providence has posted a 4-2 mark in Quad 1 and Quad 2 games with wins over Marquette, Wisconsin, Georgia, and Butler. 

 

The Friars will return to action versus Seton Hall on Wednesday, January 3 at 6:30 p.m. on FS1.
