Revolution Fall to Orlando City FC 6-1

The New England Revolution fell 6-1 to Orlando City FC on Wednesday night in Orlando.

With the loss, the Revs fall to 11-14-5 and remain winless on the road.

New England is in 8th place in the Eastern Conference, five points out of a playoff spot.

Orlando City Cruises

After New England’s Xavier Kouassi was handed a red card and sent off the field, Orlando City scored three straight goals.

Antonio Nocerino found the back of the net in the 22nd minute, Seb Hines made it 2-0 just ten m minutes later.

Kaka scored the first of his two goals in the 43rd minute to give Orlando a 3-0 lead.

Lee Nguyen got the Revolution on the board in first-half stoppage time to cut the Revs deficit to two heading into the break.

However, Orlando would put the game away in the second half.

Kaka scored his second goal in the 77th minute, while Dom Dwyer and Yoshimar Yotun followed up with goals in the 84th and 90th minutes respectively.

Next up

New England returns to action on Saturday, September 30, when they host Atlanta United FC at Gillette Stadium.

Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
