Revolution Fall 2-0 to First Place Toronto

The New England Revolution fell 2-0 to first place Toronto FC on Friday night in Toronto. 

The loss is New England’s second straight and drops them to 5-7-5 on the year. They are 0-6-3 on the road.

Toronto defender Drew Moor scored in the 11th minute to give Toronto a 1-0 lead. 

The Revolution had a great chance in the 88th minute when a Teal Bunbury header was stopped by Toronto goalkeeper Alex Bono. 

The Revs would outshoot Toronto 12-9 in the game, including  6-3 in the second half. 

Toronto would seal the game in extra time on a goal by forward Sebastian Giovinco found the back of the net to put Toronto up 2-0.

New England returns to action on June 28, when they host D.C. United in the 2017 U.S. Open Cup Round of 16 at Harvard University's Jordan Field.
