Revolution Fall 4-2 in US Open Cup Final

The New England Revolution fell 4-2 to FC Dallas in the US Open Cup final on Tuesday night at Toyota Stadium in Texas. 

The Game

The Revolution got on the board early on a goal by Juan Agudelo in the 6th minute to take a 1-0 lead in the game.

However, after that it was all FC Dallas. 

FC Dallas would score four straight goals starting with a blast by Maximiliano Urruti in the 15th minute to tie the game. 

FC Dallas would take the lead for good in the 40th minute on a goal from Matt Hedges and eight minutes later Mauro Diaz would score on a penalty kick to put Dallas up 3-1. 

Urruti would add his second goal of the game in the 73rd minute. 

Agudelo would also score another goal in the game, this one coming in the 73rd minute. However, the Revs would not get closer.

The Revolution return to action on Saturday, September 17 when they visit the Montreal Impact. 

Game time is set for 7 p.m.
