This magnificent brick 1930s Georgian Revival was designed by Albert Harkness, Rhode Island's first modernist architect. The 1/3-acre corner lot in College Hill provides an ideal city location close to Brown and RISD, Fox Point, and Wayland Square. The 5-bedroom, 5.2-bath home offers over 6,000 sq.ft. of beautifully detailed living space with extensive upgrades and modern amenities. The impressive first floor showcases exquisite moldings, custom-designed hardwood floors, and over 9-ft. high ceilings. A side porch and a formal dining room with French doors opening to the patio nicely integrate the outdoors into the layout.
The landscaped yard sets a lovely alfresco dining backdrop with its spectacular rhododendrons, while the cook’s kitchen by designer Ian Thompson delights with custom cabinetry, high-end appliances, and a breakfast area. The second-floor primary suite includes a cozy fireplace, dressing room, private bath, and fireplaced library for truly grand city living.
