NEW: West Valley Inn Takes Another Twist

Sunday afternoon the West Valley Inn has announced it has moved to a "Highest and Best" sales process, and that potential buyers have until Tues 8/23 at 5:00 ET to present their offer in writing. The preference will be highest cash out price, with the shortest time frame to close, and least contingencies. Verifiable proof of funding will be required.

The family owned, forty year old  restaurant announced they were closing at the end of the month and threatening nearly 100 part and full time jobs at risk.

Jeff Butler, of Butler Realty ReMAX, the realtor handling the sale of the property said, "This (the highest and best sales process) is done many times with properties that have multiple offers, and is the fairest and quickest way to give everyone an equal shot at purchasing. Of course the preference (and best value in my opinion) would be to sell to someone who would operate a similar venue; as opposed to development, where everything would be disbanded.

According to the company, "the purchase of this Rhode Island iconic restaurant could be enhanced by these unique features: experienced dedicated employees, trade name and media ownership, intellectual property, furniture, fixtures, and equipment, license, permits, and other business operational components and information."

In addition, the seller are willing to help with a transition, and it should be noted that  many employees desire to stay. The Buyer could take over operations as soon as the closing is completed.

Interested buyers should contact Jeff Butler, 401-886-7800 or [email protected].  For details on the property offering and the "Highest & Best" offer procedure, go to HERE
