"This is to all show hosts, producers, board-ops, news anchors, reporters and client related hosts," wrote Mascaro. "I will not tolerate anyone who works for WPRO or WPRV to use the radio airwaves or any type of social media to make derogatory remarks or mean spirited comments about other hosts or shows that are on these 2 radio stations."

Mascaro did not respond to request for comment on Thursday.

EMAIL

The following was sent by Mascaro on Tuesday, September 2

This is to all show hosts, producers, board-ops, news anchors, reporters and client related hosts.

I will not tolerate anyone who works for WPRO or WPRV to use the radio airwaves or any type of social media to make derogatory remarks or mean spirited comments about other hosts or shows that are on these 2 radio stations.

If you work here or are associated with the radio stations with a client based brokered show remember that you represent WPRO and WPRV.  If you have a problem with another host or a topic that is or was on either station then you should direct your comments or input to me and only me.  If I feel there is a problem then I will address it with that individual.

We have a variety of shows and hosts on both of our radio stations that present certain viewpoints and many times those views may differ from how you feel about a subject.  That is fine. But you are not to use your position with these radio stations to air a grievance you may have against a fellow host or the way a fellow host does their show.

As for anyone that is off-air -- the same rules apply.  Do not use Social Media to bash the radio stations or hosts.

I am very serious about this and I will not stand for it.  We are all working towards the same goal and that is to entertain our audience and present the best product we can to the market.  Let’s be a little more pro-active in promoting our fellow hosts and not demeaning anyone. Use your energy to talk about the positive things that we all do. We are a team and I expect everyone to act as teammates.

If you have any questions about any of this then please feel free to discuss it with me.

Thanks,

Tony
