Looking for a special summer wine treat? Perhaps inspiration for a romantic weekend? Look no further! In honor of Bastille Day, Mirbeau Inn & Spa at The Pinehills in Plymouth, Massachusetts will host ‘La Fête du Vin’, a celebration of French wine on Saturday, July 16th from 2pm to 6pm. During the event guests are invited to stroll Mirbeau’s picturesque Monet gardens against a backdrop of quintessential French melodies, sip acclaimed wines and enjoy Chef Daniel Kenney’s culinary creations on the beautiful tented lawn.

This inaugural signature event, which will become an annual tradition, will feature wines from some of France’s most prestigious regions including Champagne, Loire, Provence and Bordeaux. Among the wines featured are Louis Roederer’s Brut Premier and 2010 Rose Champagnes, the 2010 Château de Pez from Saint-Estèphe and 2011 Château de Sales from Pomerol. From Loire participants will be able to sample Marc Brédif 2014 Vouvray (Chenin Blanc) and LaDoucette’s 2012 Pouilly Fumé (Sauvignon Blanc), while Chateau Romassan of Provence will feature its 2015 Rosé.
The wines, selected by Maisons Marques & Domaines, will be paired with an abundant selection of Chef Kenney’s French-inspired delicacies displayed throughout the tent, 7 food stations in total including local Oysters shucked to order, French Farm House Cheeses, salt-cruste Whole Sea Bass, Bordeaux Beef Flank, Moulard Duck Breast with Foie Gras jus and the menu goes on and on. Did I mention the celebration’s dessert display? Oh, there will be one of those also.
The cost is $125 per person; tax and gratuity are additional. Mirbeau will offer a special room rate for guests who attend the event, and for those who wish to extend the experience, Mirbeau is also offering a weekend package for two that includes a two-night accommodation with a welcome gift, a $100.00 spa credit per person, breakfast each morning and two tickets to La Fete du Vin. Rates begin at $585.00 per night.
