Paula Poundstone at Greenwich Odeum
Paula Poundstone is one of our country’s preeminent comedians, known for her smart, observational humor and spontaneous wit that has become the stuff of legend.
She tours regularly performing over 85 shows a year.
Poundstone's guest appearances include The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Star Talk with Neil deGrasse Tyson, Late Night with Carson Daly, Nerdist with Chris Hardwick, and she was a clue in a New York Times crossword puzzle. She's filed commentaries for CBS Sunday Morning, and Morning Edition and All Things Considered for NPR. She voices the character “Paulette” in Cartoon Network’s new animated series Summer Camp Island.

Stages of Freedom Presents A Concert For Freedom: African American Spirituals
The interracial Schiller Institute Chorus is committed to performing African-American spirituals in keeping with the tradition of Hall Johnson, H.T. Burleigh and other Black composers.

Droneflower at Columbus Theatre
The Columbus Cooperative proudly presents Droneflower, featuring Marissa Nadler + Steve Brodsky.
Droneflower, the new collaboration between Marissa Nadler and Stephen Brodsky (Cave In), is a sprawling and expansive exercise in contrasts. It is the sound of the war between the brutal and the ethereal, the dark and the light, the past and the present, and the real and imagined.

Rhode Island PrideFest will feature live music, and New England’s only illuminated night parade.

Strawberry Festival at Smith's Castle
Smith's Castle in North Kingstown will host its annual Strawberry Festival to celebrate the start of summer.
The festival consists of a day of fun food and family.
It will feature musical performances by the Jesse Liam Band, Marionette Puppeteer Dan Butterworth, House tours- led by docents in colonial dress, Children’s colonial games and crafts, free pony rides, baby chicks and bunnies to pet.
URI MasterGardeners answering questions, presenting three historic colonial gardens, and free soil testing, Walking trails on historic grounds situated on gorgeous Mill Cove, Available for purchase; food booths, craft vendors, and of course our celebrated homemade strawberry shortcake.
The festival goes from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Magic Dick Richard Salwitz of J. Geils Band at Courthouse Center of the Arts
Member of the J. Geils Band… Magic Dick is known all over the world. So excited to have him perform at our little venue with another great… Shun Ng is a Boston Music Award winner and a Buddy Holly Foundation Award Winner… A virtuoso guitar Player, He and Magic Dick have played nationwide.
Performing tunes from the J. Geils Band, Classic Blues Covers, and Originals, you’ll be wowed by their musical skills. These Professional Entertainers will have you jamming in your seats.

Prov Preservation Society Festival of Historic Houses
The Providence Preservation Society (PPS) will host its 39th Festival of Historic Houses.
Guests taking part in this year’s festival will be granted self-guided access to lovingly cared-for private homes, buildings and green spaces throughout the neighborhood.
