Stages of Freedom will hold a book and art sale on Sunday, July 15 in downtown Providence to benefit swimming lessons for inner-city youth.

The event, which will take place from 12 to 5 p.m. at 10 Westminster Street will feature 50% off hundreds of books and art pieces.

"We've got over 800 books -- and 100 pieces of art -- every dime goes to swimming lessons for inner-city children," said former State Representative Ray Rickman, who heads up the nonprofit Stages of Freedom. "Plus, it's free parking on Sundays."
