Fit for Life: My Healthcare Plan

Yea Yea, we know we are already in a pandemic, but it’s not just the Corona Virus that’s spreading like wildfire and taking 100’s of American lives.
Around 1/3 of the US population is now considered obese. And the numbers are growing.

Obesity can’t and shouldn’t be ignored because along with obesity comes a whole chain reaction of other ailments and problems.
Things such as diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, and other psychological problems like depression, and anxiety are on the rise, resulting in the overuse of prescription medication, and placing tremendous strain on our health care system.
It’s a domino effect. That keeps spiraling out of control.
So why is this happening?
Do we not know how this pandemic is getting out of control?
Who is responsible & who can we hold accountable?
We could blame companies that make toxic dyes and chemically made food colors that go into most breakfast cereals, bottled drinks, and other packaged processed foods, causing us to accumulate fat.
Or we could blame the marketing companies that do test after test and figure out ways to get people addicted to their products, then make them look appealing so we buy in large quantities.
How about all the fast-food chains that fry their food in vegetable oil, and other unhealthy substances? This is the stuff high in omega 6 fatty acids, which is responsible for high LDL (bad) cholesterol.
Then there are the industrial farmers that are mistreating and raising animals in inhumane conditions,
feeding them garbage and other forms of cheap corn and soy-based feed to fatten them up faster.
How about the government? Should they be accountable for our health?
They are the ones that allow these things to happen. The FDA is supposed to look after our health.
They allow the lobbyist to get laws that inform the public about what's in products, vetoed.
They let this poison enter our food supply, turning a blind eye to these mega industrial food manufacturers, all for profits and bottom lines.
So, who is accountable?
I say look in the mirror.
That's right, it's you, me, and everyone else.
We all need to be accountable for our own health. No one else can or will do it for you.
The majority of our environment is against us; however, it is up to us to keep our eyes open and stay informed about what we put in our bodies.
Supermarkets are lined with colorful products full of sugar to addict us.
There is fast food on every corner.
Electronic devices that keep us indoors and sedentary.
It’s an endless battle and only the strong and determined will survive it.
Just because the stuff is out there, doesn’t give you the ok to consume it.
It is our responsibility to avoid it.
Just because a vehicle is capable of speeds of 160 mph, is the manufacturer accountable if you crash at this speed?
No, it is up to us to take responsibility.
I ask, if you didn’t have health insurance, and you had to pay the doctor yourself, would you still abuse your body by consuming products that you know are bad for you?
Chances are you wouldn't.
The fact of the matter is, if we all pay attention to how we take care of ourselves, we can avoid disease and sickness caused by poor lifestyle choices.
In return, the health care system wouldn’t be bogged down with preventable ailments thus lowering the cost for health insurance for everyone.
So, let's not blame big food companies, fast food chains, or the big gulp.
Don't blame the government.
Just be accountable for your own health, take care of yourself by eating quality organic whole food, get plenty of exercise, and eventually great health and wellness will be awarded to you.
If you don't know-how, or can't do it alone, hire a coach.
The odds are against us, but the underdog never quits.
Good health is attainable, but nobody can do it for you.
Take accountability and live well!!
