A pedestrian was struck and killed in the city over the weekend.

According to police, the incident occurred shortly after 4 PM on Saturday.

Police were called to Union Avenue at the Route 10 offramp for a report of a hit-and-run.

The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene by rescue personnel.

According to witnesses, the vehicle involved was a truck.

Detectives are currently investigating.
