EDITORIAL: Two Amazing RI Gems Get Recognized — Iannuccilli and Rickman

Rhode Island is blessed.

Two leading Rhode Islanders are being recognized for their leadership.

On Thursday night at the Rhode Island Convention Center, Dr. Ed Ianuccilli received the Lifetime Achievement award from Rhode Island Hospital.

He started his medical career in 1965 and his brilliance and kind touch have improved the lives of literally tens of thousands. As a physician, business leader, community leader, and writer, Iannuccilli has led a life in which he has simply made people feel -- and think -- better.

Just 12 hours later, Ray Rickman is being honored at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet. He is receiving the Outstanding Philanthropic Citizen award at this year's National Philanthropy Day.  Rickman has served Rhode Island as an elected official, community leader, non-profit executive -- and social conscious.

Two of Rhode Island’s best are being recognized for selfless leadership.
