Fundraising Campaign for Deceased Bristol Police Officer Exceeds $30,000

The crowdsourced fundraising page was originally created on June 9, after Jean-Georges was reported missing and was going to be used to help alleviate the cost of family members traveling down to Costa Rica to help in the search.
Once Jean-Georges' body was found off the coast of Jacó, a resort city in Costa Rica, the page turned into a haven of loving comments, support, and donations. Slightly more than 350 individuals have donated to the fundraising campaign so far.

Jean-Georges In Memoriam
According to Jean-Georges’ obituary, the 29-year-old man attend the University of Alaska and then transferred to the University of Rhode Island where he graduated with a degree in communications and minor in English.
After working for a short period of time as a Loan Officer at Citizens Bank, Jean-Georges become a member of the Bristol Police Department.
His funeral is set to be held on June 19 at 8 A.M. at the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home in Warwick. A service will be held at 10 A.M. in the Christian Hill Community Church in West Warwick, after which Jean-Georges will be buried at the Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery.
