Man Reportedly Assaulted, Robbed Outside of Neighborhood Bar in Providence

Shortly before 3 AM on Saturday, Providence police responded to the Shell gas station at 598 Branch Avenue for a report of a victim of a robbery.

The victim said he had been outside of McCormick’s Pub on Veazie Street, when three men approached him, struck him in the face and body.
He said he was robbed of cash and his belongings, including his phone.
Police reported then searching the area outside of McCormick’s Pub, and finding items belonging to the victim.
The victim was transported to Miriam Hospital for his injuries.
Police are currently investigating.
