The victim — a male in his early 20s — was taken to Rhode Island Hospital for his injuries.

About Incident
Police were called shortly after 5 PM on Tuesday to the Omni Hotel on West Exchange Street for a report of a stabbing victim.
The victim told police he had been waiting for his bus in Kennedy Plaza when he was approached by man and woman asking for a cigarette.
According to police, the victim said that the man starting acting aggressively and pulled out a pocket knife, before charging at him and stabbing him in the stomach.
The victim fled the scene to call police and said he did not see where the suspect went.
Police are currently investigating.
