Man Stabbed in Providence

A man was stabbed Friday night in the area of Hartford Avenue and Plainfield Street in Providence. 

About Incident

Shortly after 10 PM Friday night, police responded to the 200 block of Lowell Avenue for a report of a stabbing.

The victim told police he had been on Plainfield Street when he was approached by a man and then got into an argument. 

The victim said that the male suspect then stabbed him in the stomach with a roughly 4-inch knife.

Police said they observed a wound on the victim, who was then transported by rescue to Rhode Island Hospital.
