Man Stabbed Outside Providence City Hall

A man was stabbed outside City Hall on Thursday morning, according to Providence Police. 


About Incident 

At 7 AM on Thursday, police on patrol downtown said they were alerted to a disturbance at Washington and Eddy Streets.

Police said they were flagged down by a witness who said there was a male victim nearby bleeding from the head. 

According to police, they located the victim, who said he had been stabbed, at which time police called for rescue. 

Police said that upon talking with the victim, they determined the stabbing had taken place on Eddy Street near City Hall. 

Shortly after the incident, police said they located a male matching the description of the suspect on Washington Street.

Triston Breton, age 26, was detained and found to have multiple outstanding bench warrants for additional prior arrests.
