Man Wanted by Prov Police Arrested by U.S. Marshals in Ohio
Marcos Garcia-Solis, is wanted by Providence Police for alleged kidnapping, child molesting and rape of a 13-year-old girl in 2017.
“The arrest of Marcos Garcia-Solis was extremely important to our department. His heinous crimes drew our concern for the safety of other potential victims around the country. We applaud the outstanding work of the U.S. Marshals Service along with our detectives and other officers from various departments throughout the state that are a part of the RI Violent Fugitive Task Force,” said Providence Police Major David Lapatin.

The information on Garcia-Solis was relayed to U.S. Marshals in Ohio on Wednesday, January 23.
The U.S. Marshals Service’s Akron and Canton Divisions of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Garcia-Solis without incident early yesterday evening at approximately 6:45 p.m. at or near his place of employment on the 1100 Block of Hinkle Drive, Wadsworth Ohio, by members of the task force and with assistance from the Wadsworth Police Department.
“This arrest is another example of our dogged determination and partnerships with state and local law enforcement agencies to cross jurisdictions in pursuit of safety for our communities from the threat of heinous alleged crimes of this nature,” said U.S. Marshal Jamie A. Hainsworth, District of Rhode Island.
