The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 11 new COVID-19 related fatalities for 479 in total. 

On Friday, RIDOH also posted 203 new positive cases for a total of 12,219.

As GoLocal reported on Friday, the machine primarily used in Rhode Island at Twin River was found in a recent study to have missed 48% of cases.

There are currently 272 hospitalizations, with 63 in the ICU and 41 on ventilators.

Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo and officials will be at the Vets Auditorium at 1 PM on Friday for their daily briefing.
