A suspect has been arrested in a hit-and-run in Providence on Monday.

The incident took place shortly after noon off Broad Street by West Friendship Street.

A male in his 60s was struck by a vehicle which fled the scene.

The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

According to police, a suspect was located and arrested following the incident.

Detectives are currently investigating.
