Massive Police Response to Stabbing on Thayer Street in Providence
Shortly after 3:15 PM on Monday, officers responded to the corner of Angell and Thayer for the report of the incident.

GoLocal was on location, where over a dozen law enforcement officials were present; the scene was cordoned off with police tape. Traffic had to be re-routed as Angell Street was blocked off.
According to police, one person was stabbed and taken to the hospital.
A suspect is reportedly in custody.
The attack is just blocks from the deadly shooting at Brown University that killed two students in December.
