Providence Police Make Arrest in Recent Citizens Bank Robbery in Kennedy Plaza

Providence police have made an arrest in the recent bank robbery that occurred at a Citizens Bank branch in Kennedy Plaza. 

About Incident -- and Arrest

On December 20, the downtown Citizens Bank branch was robbed by a white male subject approximately six feet tall and wearing a black Raiders hat.

The suspect had passed a note before fleeing the bank into Kennedy Plaza.  

Photographs from the robbery video were circulated to the media alerting the public that if anyone recognized the suspect, they should call detectives.

According to police, they received several calls identifying the subject as Victor Sanchez, age 33. 

Police located Sanchez and arrested him on Thursday, December 30. 

Sanchez is being charged with one count of second degree robbery.
