Providence Police Officer Recognized for Heroic Actions Locating Stolen Car With Infant Inside

Providence Police officer David Impagliazzo is being recognized on Saturday for his quick-thinking work. 

On July 10, 2020, an amber alert was issued for a stolen vehicle -- with an infant inside. 

Impagliazzo is credited with locating the car with the child, and returning him safely to his family.

The vehicle was found on Nellie Street in Providence, less than a mile from where the infant was taken on Ann Mary Street.

On Saturday, Yoruba Elders along with the Providence Police Department are recognizing Impagliazzo for this "heroic actions, going above and beyond the call of duty."

The ceremony is taking place at 1 PM.
