According to police, the vehicle did not respond to commands, and instead took off at a high rate of speed.

Police said they then saw the vehicle on Atwells Avenue stopped in traffic at DePasquale Square.

After an officer exited his car and attempted to stop the vehicle on foot, the driver of the car reportedly took off again -- hitting two unoccupied parked cars as well as an occupied car stopped in traffic.

Police said that four of the five suspects -- all juveniles -- were then apprehended.
