NEW: Serious Accident at East Side RIPTA Tunnel in Providence
A RIPTA bus crashed into the southern entrance of the East Side Trolley Tunnel by College Hill on Monday afternoon.
Witnesses say it looked serious.

About the Tunnel
The East Side Trolley Tunnel runs between South Main and Thayer Streets, and was originally built in 1914 for trolley use. It is 2000 feet long.
