A car went crashing through a Cranston business on Tuesday.

The beauty salon on Gansett Avenue — Lana’s — was closed for the day at the time of the accident, and no one was reportedly hurt.

About Incident

According to Cranston police, shortly after noon, officers responded to 176 Gansett Avenue for a report of a car that crashed into the building.

Police say a car exiting from the YMCA parking lot accelerated and struck another vehicle heading south on Gansett Avenue.

The car continued across the street and drove through the front entrance on the hair salon and stopped in the middle of the salon.

The business was not open for business on Tuesday.

Cranston Fire Department reported checking on all occupants of both vehicles and no medical transports were necessary.
