About Arrests

On Saturday night, police on patrol on Broad Street near Mi Sueno said they observed a man carrying a cross-body satchel that appeared to contain an item in the shape of a firearm.

When the male got into a vehicle, police approached the car and saw that the man was attempting to conceal the satchel, at which time police investigated its contents.

Police said they found a 9mm ghost gun with an extended magazine containing live rounds; the gun was placed in police possession.

The suspect — an 18-year-old male — was transported to Central Station for questioning and charging.

Also on Saturday night, police in the area of Lovera Lounge said they saw a heavily tinted vehicle pull into the parking lot and upon shining lights into the vehicle saw occupants not wearing seatbelts.

Upon conducting a traffic stop, police said they observed a firearm inside the vehicle; a male suspect told police he had a license to carry in Massachusetts.

According to police, the 9mm gun had live cartridges in a magazine and was taken into possession by police.

The suspect — a 19-year-old male — was transported to Central Station for questioning and charging.
