Residence Hit With Bullets in Shooting in Providence

Multiple bullets pierced a residence in a shooting off of Douglas Avenue in Providence overnight, according to police.

Shortly after midnight on Thursday, police responded to a report of shots fired on Joseph street.

Police said that upon arrival, they saw multiple spent shell casings in a parking lot — as well as bullet holes in the window of a residence. 

According to police, they entered the unit — which was unoccupied at the time — and found bullet holes in bedroom and bathroom walls as well as the ceiling. 

Detectives are currently investigating.
