Shots Fired at House in Providence — Bullets Hit Wall Where Residents Were Sleeping

Police are investigating a report of shots being fired at a house in Providence.

According to police, residents were sleeping in a room at the time when bullets hit a window and wall.

Shortly after 5 AM Wednesday morning, police say they were called to a residence on Paul Street — off of Charles Street — for a report of shots fired. 

Police say that upon arrival, they observed more than half-dozen spent shell casings in the road — as well as bullet holes next to a window of the residence. 

According to the occupants of the house, two individuals had been asleep in a bedroom at the time. 

The residents told police they saw bullet holes in the window and bedroom wall.

Detectives are currently investigating.
