About Incidents
First Shooting
Shortly before 11 PM Saturday night, police were called to Rhode Island Hospital for a report of a shooting victim.
Police say they met with the victim — a male in his 30s — who had been shot in his shoulder.
The victim told police he had been shot in the back by an unidentified male while in the area of Broad Street and Sassafras Street.
Second Shooting
Police responded to a report of a second shooting victim at Rhode Island Hospital just minutes later.
That victim — a male in his early 40s — told police he had been walking on Courtland Street near the Federal Hill House Association when he heard gunshots.
He said he then felt a sudden pain in his leg.
The victim told police he believed he was shot by a motorist driving past; he was taken to the hospital by an individual who arrived on the scene.
Third Shooting
Shortly at 1 AM, police responded to Veazie Street for a report of a shooting.
According to police, they encountered a large crowd outside of McCormack’s Pub.
Police said they encountered a male victim in his 30s, bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital.
Police said that the crowd became aggressive toward police and there were no cooperating witnesses.
There were multiple shell casings found at the scene, say police.
Detectives are investigating all incidents.
