UPDATED: 11 Dead and 6 Wounded at Shooting at Pittsburgh Synagogue

PThe death count is now up to 11 with 6 others wounded at a shooting a Pittsburgh synagogue.  The alleged shooter is now in custody. His name is Robert Bowers.

Reports are saying the gunman opened fire on a prayer service. The shooter has a history of expressing anti-Semitic and anti- Donald Trump statements on social media.

According to the Wrap, MSNBC reports that an archived, verified account in Bowers’ name on social media site Gab included countless anti-semitic posts. The Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society “likes to bring invaders in that kill our people,” the account posted on Saturday morning. “I can’t sit by and watch my people get slaughtered. Screw your optics, I’m going in.”

At 11:25 AM police reported that the shooter was in custody.

Carnegie Mellon University, a college near the synagogue, was on lockdown. 

The shooter opened fire at responding officers, reports say. Four police officers were founded. None of the fatalities are children.
