Holy Cross scored seven straight points capped off by a Cullen Hamilton jumper to cut Brown's lead to just two points, 50-48 with 10:27 left to play.
From the point, Brown went on a quick 8-2 run, sparked by a JR Hobbie three-pointer, to go up 58-50 with 8:29 left to play.
The Crusaders would not get closer than five points the rest of the way.
Leading the Way
JR Hobbie led the Bears with 16 points off the bench in 25 minutes of play while Steven Spieth and Cedric Kuakumensah both had double-doubles in the game.
Freshman Corey Daugherty netted 13 points in 27 minutes.
Next Up
Brown travels to Niagara Falls on Wednesday to take on Niagara. After that, the Bears will visit in-state rival Providence on Saturday, November 21st.

Double-Double Men
Brown saw two players reach double-double status on Monday night against Holy Cross.
Cedric Kuakumensah had his second double-double of the season with 14 points on 6 of 11 shooting from the field to go along with 12 rebounds, 11 of them on defensive end. Kuakumensah also blocked three shots in the game.
Steven Spieth recorded his first double-double of the season, netting 11 points and 14 rebounds to go along with five assists and two steals.
Spieth's 11 points came on 5 of 9 shooting from the field.
JR Hobbie
JR Hobbie came off the bench for Brown and helped give them an offensive spark.
Hobbie netted 16 points on 5 of 8 shooting from three-point land in 25 minutes of play.
Hobbie was responsible for 5 of Brown's 8 three-pointers in the game.
Ball Movement
After shooting only 34% from the field in Friday night's game against Saint Peter's, Brown's increased ball movement in this game was very noticeable.
Brown as a team had 17 assists on 30 made shots. Starting guard Tavon Blackmon led the team with eight assists while Spieth had five.
Brown shot 52% from the field.
Run Withstood
Brown led by nine, 50-41, with 12:52 left to play in the game.

Rhode Island's Corey Daugherty has impressed through two games.
Daugherty followed up an eight point performance in his first collegiate game with a 13 point performance against Holy Cross.
Daugherty's points came on 6 of 11 shooting from the field in 27 minutes of play.
