The University of Rhode Island men's basketball team (5-2) defeated (3-4) Holy Cross 74-56 on Wednesday night at The Ryan Center. The Rams have now won two straight and four of their last five games.

The Rams led 34-32 at the half before outscoring Holy Cross 42-24 in the second half to pull away.

Midway through the second half, URI went on a 12-0 run to go up 64-49 with five minutes to play.

The Rams sealed the game when they took a 20 point lead with a 1:40 to play in the game.

URI was led by Kuran Iverson who poured in 19 points and pulled down ten rebound to earn his first career double-double.

Hassan Martin followed up with 16 points, seven rebounds and also recorded four blocks in the game.

Next up

URI returns to action on Saturday, December 5th when they host the #23/24 Providence College Friars at 7 p.m. The game is set to be televised on ESPNU.
