Bryant Basketball Falls to Seattle 82-59

The Bryant Bulldogs fell 82-59 to Seattle University on Sunday night in Kent, Washington. 

The loss drops Bryant to 0-2 on the season.

After Seattle led 16-11 in the first half, the Bulldogs cut the lead to 16-13 on a jump shot from Byron Hawkins with 10:22 to play. 

From that point, Seattle would go on an 8-2 run to take a 24-15 lead with 6:41 to play in the half on a layup by Terrell Brown. 

Seattle would build a 27-18 lead before Bryant cut their deficit to five, 27-22, following two free throws from Hawkins with 4:44 to play in the half. 

Hawkins led Bryant with 19 points on 5 of 12 shooting from the field. 

However, Seattle would close the half on a 6-2 run to take a 33-24 lead into the break. 

In the second half, it was all Seattle. 

They opened the final frame on a 12-0 run to go up 45-24 with 16:20 to play after a three from Matej Kavas went down. 

The Bulldogs would not get closer than 18 points the rest of the way. 

Next Up 

The Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday, November 14 when they host Saint Peter’s. 

Game time is set for 7 p.m.
