Bryant Men's Basketball Edges Brown in Comeback Win

Brown University men’s basketball coach Mike Martin needed a win against Bryant on Friday night at home.

The Bears were expected to have a big season.

But the season has had a tough start for Brown — just 2-6 (and one of the wins was against a D-III team).

Brown closed out the first half with the lead 36-33.

And, the Bears led until the 7:56 mark in the second half when Bryant tied the game at 57-57 on a Miles Latimer hoop, and then the Bulldogs took the lead seconds later on a 3-pointer — 60-57 over Brown.

Two free throws by Bryant’s Connor Wither put Bryant up 69-66 with under 30 seconds.

And that was the final score.

Brown now falls to 2-7 and Bryant moves to 5-4 on the season

Kino Lilly, Jr. led Brown with 19 points.

Bryant was led by Rafael Pinzon. And, Earl Timberlake had 12 rebounds for the Bulldogs.
